Narcissistic personality disorder. Web MD diagnosis. Boom. Talk about the worst thing to be diagnosed with (OK not really but still). Basically it means “you have a shitty personality and are not a good person, and it’s so bad it’s clinical.” I still remember when he was on Punk’d and threw a hissy fit and kept saying

I could see Christian Bale overlapping with those first two categories...

He’s not well. At all. This is not normal. An intervention needs to happen and soon. Yes, he could just be an asshole as well. But, at this level, it’s genuine mental illness (I think, as someone with a diagnosis and knowledge of how mental illness looks in others).

I have always thought there was something wrong, something manic.

With a sprinkling of Shia LaBeouf & Russell Crowe tossed in for good measure

“No one could lack this much humanity and self awareness”

Possibly both. He’s most assuredly an ass. He’s also rapped long ago about being diagnosed bipolar and his latest album talks about going off his lexapro.

I've always thought he suffered from some type of personality disorder. Definitely narcissism, at the very least. It is sad to me because all he has around him are enablers. Personality disorders are tricky to diagnose, let alone convince said person to accept it and get help.

I personally think he’s borderline. Witness the rapid adulation/devaluation cycles in pretty much all of his relationships. I merely await the shitstorm that will happen when Kim can’t take it anymore and leaves him (and she will, because not even the staunchest attention whore/gold-digger/coattail-rider can long

The hardest part of having to address it is figuring out which is which.

Christian Bale, Alec Baldwin, AND Gary Busey all rolled into one.

Yeah, the apology was top notch- should be required reading for anyone who has the urge to make your usual mealy mouthed apology.

You're right. It's kind of crazy that it takes a genuine apology to floor people. Empathy is such a rarity nowadays it seems.

Oh ! He wanted to be in the NFL and he didn’t get to be ?!? Geez, if only they had reported that, guess that’s “the media” for you ! By all means, let this guy out, I had no idea he’d suffered so much !

I met this guy as he was writing this trash! He was in Enid and came in to the Walgreens where I work. Said he was from Chicago doing a story on Holtzclaw. He bought travel-size Treseme hair gel.

So they’re painting one man’s entitlement to the bodies of black women as a consequence of his failure to get the football career he felt entitled to.

Oh right, if only we have him everything he wanted in life he wouldn’t have had to forcibly take advantage of women. The entitlement is never ending with some folks. Cry me a river.

Access really does lead to the worst in sports reporting; Leitch was right to put that first on his list of “Sports without” entries in the Deadspin tag line.

So the logic of the guy writing the story was that the dude played Division II NCAA football, tried and failed to get into the NFL in 2008-09 (just like 96%+ of college football players, and nearly 100% Division II), went through the training to be a police officer and got a job, and suddenly became so depressed about

Jesus Christ, that last sentence is some bad writing. I feel like I’m reading in my non-native language.
