I’m with alliterator on this. Logan is the absolute best superhero movie I’ve ever seen. It does such a good job of immersing the audience in the movie’s reality and really earning the payoffs it provides. It’s also understated in many ways, which gives the movie a sense of gravitas you just don’t get in most of these…

Sigh. The problem wasn’t that it was too dark or that it deconstructed the hero. Hell, Logan was a much bleaker movie that completely deconstructed Wolverine and it’s one of the best superhero movies of all time.
