This makes me think of all of the hotshot college coaches who failed at the NBA level. Try that shit with a bunch of professionals, and millionaires to boot. It ain’t gonna happen.

All that money, and it’s not even a manual? You’ve got to be kidding. Huge CP.

The Acceleration score drives me nuts the most. Any car that doesn’t have supercar levels of performance automatically seems to get a 1. Doug, please, we can’t all drive exotics at our day job. Sometimes 0-60 in 7 seconds is just fine.

It’s classic Republicanism. The Free Market is Great and Good and the Solution to Everything, except when it imperils your re-election chances in 2020. Of course, they try to square this circle by blaming the unions, but the real reason is the endless focus on short-term financial and stock performance, for which we

$200k~300k? Hey rich people! Why buy yet another supercar when you can have one of these?

Similar to my above post, I wouldn’t take it up with the local tech- I doubt they can decide anything. Take it up with Honda corporate, the feds, or Joyson Safety Systems, the current owner of the carcass of Takata. That’s where the decisions are made.

OK. Maybe the tech was being a jerk or uncooperative, and I can certainly understand not wanting to drive around with defective airbags. However, the guy probably had a list of cars which he had to follow, and your car was not on that list, so it wasn’t subject to replacement. The guy isn’t testing the inflators

Some 57,066 individuals redeemed $375 million in tax credits in 2016,

For the Model 3, especially the new “cheap” one? Potentially quite a few.

I have a lot of family in Canton and growing up we’d try to visit at least once year. One time somehow we made a wrong turn on the Interstate and ended up in Youngstown. Even though I was only a kid, I remember thinking “We need to get the hell out of here as soon as possible”. Perhaps it was just survival instinct

These are pretty cheap on the used market (a quick search on Yahoo Carview Japan shows decent examples at around $5k of less, although the manuals are scarce). If anybody really wants one, just wait a couple more years, and start importing! Live the dream!

I’m a sucker for this era of Honda... and by sucker, I mean an actual sucker, since I am apparently willing to way overpay for this model, according to the other comments on here. It’s that blue color, that Si badge, the stock wheels, clean interior, VTEC engine... OK I’m getting a little carried away here. Guilty as

That white one? Looks too tall to be a Stagea. Probably just a Serena or some other minivan. Can’t make out the other one. Neither are getting my heart racing.

I can confirm that Veilside is around, physically at least- I’ve seen the building in southern Ibaraki prefecture on a few weekend bike rides. It looks to be extremely quiet, however. I think it’s safe to say that the glory days are past.

That aerial shot is one of the nuttiest things that I’ve seen in a awhile. Absolutely insane.

Detroit? Please. Now Quanzhou on the other hand? That’s where it’s at.

A coworker friend of mine had to go on a sudden business trip to Tianjin, a place we were not familiar with. (It’s not on our normal list of suppliers or customers, and sorry, we have no particular cultural interest in China.)

I think it’s safe to say that Best Car is extremely gossipy... I would never take one of their “scoops” as the last word. Their articles are more like conversation starters than anything else. And now we’re talking about their magazine and the future of the 86/BRZ, so I guess that it worked.

“Razzle Dazzle”? I think that Tim Kitzrow should get some royalties for that bit of announcing.
