Spot on Leslie. I believe the 2nd amendment right was to provide the citizens with the capabilities of overthrowing a government gone rogue if need be. The founders were intent on making sure the government feared repercussions from its people.

How is this about politics? It's a real issue that requires real debate. Does the fact that guns are used to kill other people depend on whether you support liberals or conservatives matter? There are pros and cons to discuss regarding this issue, and if you can't take part in the debate in a mature manner, then good

A lot of your arguments are flawed - the second amendment right was never meant to allow citizens to carry dangerous weapons around, it was meant to give power to the people to revolt against a government if it was to ever get out of control. That made sense in 1787, but since today you can't legally own a fleet of

That prevention statistic was debunked a long time ago. In reality, guns cause more accidental deaths and injuries than they prevent. In other words, it's more dangerous to keep a gun in the house than to not have any.

A lot more people spend time driving than using guns though... Get a percentage going based on hours of usage, and I think you'll find that guns are still much more deadly.

Seems odd that a ruling that unites almost everyone in protest can be left to pass. Isn't the justice system created for the people, by the people? Or are we supposed to be some frightened sheep that blindly follow the law regardless of where it takes us?

Minimalist design isn't an Apple invention... Design tends to follow trends, just like fashion, architecture and music.

I think in general the 90's were a terrible period for design, architecture, fashion, etc. ...I haven't forgotten my neon-coloured snow suit.

I don't completely agree. Look at Windows Phone - part of what makes the OS appealing is that it uses completely different interface elements and metaphors than either iOS or Android. The unlock screen, the app launcher, the live tiles, the hubs, etc.

I've grown up fishing and hunting (in fact, I hadn't eaten fish that we didn't catch ourselves until I moved to the city), and I can assure you that there is nothing clean and happy about killing any creature, whether by humans, or by other predators.

That was fun to read, I love the optimism. This is the same optimism that fuelled dreams of flying cars, jet packs and inter-planetary travel. And also what fuelled the ambition to reach the moon.

? Maybe I'm young, but I hardly ever carry cash anymore.

Do you really want to watch a movie with your family huddled around a laptop screen? TVs aren't being replaced, but how we watch content will change. Mirroring the display onto a large screen from a phone, tablet or PC will become more and more common.

Yes, and your own work and music is just sublime.

..Or because she's much more talented than most of us, yourself included? I actually love the dancing. Have you ever played violin? It's hard enough to play something standing still. She's pretty awesome, and the music she composed is amazing.

I realize you were referencing the TechRadar article, but the current Surface already feature a PVD coating - used to protect the device, not make it water proof.

Quicktime???? Why would you do that to yourself? If there's one thing worse than WMP, it's Quicktime!
