Urgh. There are two types of Apple fanboys: those who are happily enjoying the products they love, and those that feel a need to tell everyone else that they're doing it wrong.

Except IMAX uses linear polarizers, which means that if you tilt your head, you lose the effect and start seeing double.

That's my only beef with 3D as well. Some theatres aren't as bad as others, but at the last one I was at, details were lost because of the lack of contrast.

iPhones are much more expensive than iPod touches... Point being, if the extra functionality is worth something, the higher price is justified. A better way to think of this tablet is that it's simply a more portable laptop. Now if your computer is also a tablet, why would you buy a secondary device like an iPad?

I used mine to log in on an Asus F8. About 80% of the time, works every time. (honestly, was not bad. Faster than password most of the time)

When you go to the settings of an Outlook account, you're able to set up an email to receive emails from. It'll also import all the emails at that address and set up forwarding for you, which is actually pretty cool.

Giz, you should have a short primer on how to migrate to Outlook. I just did it and was impressed at how easy it was. You create your account, go to settings, go to "Sending, Receiving email from other accounts", and put in your email and password. It set it all up for my gmail.

I have no problems making fun of countries and their politics, but keep in mind thousands of brave Italian and French (and German) soldiers died for their country, fighting as bravely as every other nation that puts young men at war with each other.

These ads... It's like they hired the agency that previously worked with Microsoft.

Not a laptop example, but I'm looking forward to that Lenovo AIO they demonstrated that can tilt down to a 30 degree angle and be used with drafting table ergonomics. Would be great at work with a stylus for drawing, and touch for navigating. The screen could then always be tilted back up and used as a regular monitor

Xbox 360 for Netflix, and a 7 year old HTPC (which to be honest is probably worth as little as an Apple TV at this point) for everything else. I live in Canada though, so I'm not sure if Roku or AppleTV even exist here or offer decent media selection.. I've never seen either IRL.

I noticed the mistake, but to be honest, even when I visited London I started an argument between the Welsh and the English at the table when I asked what the difference was between the UK, Great Britain and England. I ended up more confused than I started.

I find it pretty neat too, from an engineering and technical stand-point. Then I blink and look again, and yeah, it's really ugly.

You sir deserve a Gold medal for that comment!

I wouldn't say Kendo is better or worse than fencing - it's a different style or swordfighting. It could be incorporated as a 4th style along with Foil, Épée and Sabre.

The fact that gay marriage is still controversial in the USA is quite sad...

"Sony NEX or other Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera"

Unless you make it yourself, I can't be sure that the stuff they put on there really qualifies as cheese...

You can get great bread and cheese outside of France, though perhaps not in every country. Hmmm, fromage du Québec...

French grammar police: "le froid de la lumière est MAUVAIS pour l'art".
