After coming to the realization that I no longer drive for fun, which is something that’s important to me, I brought it up to Mrs. Arrivederci in passing while we were out grabbing drinks while the little one was being watched by her Opa.
Since buying my Lexus in February I feel as though I almost never put gas in it. Naturally, I decided to start saving my receipts.
With all the new Corvette hoopla and suppositions about how it’ll sell unbelievably well, I was reminded about the last car that we all seemed to agree would reset the market and sell unbelievably well – the Subaru Ascent. I saw an Ascent on the road yesterday and it got me thinking about how we all predicted it would…
When the pictures leaked yesterday, I pinged them over to my Dad, who’s right in the meaty part of the curve for a Boomer and is a current owner. His response?
Svend’s post today reminded me that I wanted to share having my old girl cleaned up. Back in February I decided to sell my S3 and and buy this old girl outright, to move a car payment off the family dole. So far the 2011 GS has been flawless aside from an intermittent TPS light from a tire pressure sensor that either…
Now that Game of Thrones is over, I thought it would be fun to review all the main characters and compare where they were when we first saw them to where they wound up after last Sunday night’s finale and see who actually won the game. As Cersei famously said to Ned Stark in the first season, “When you play the game…
Think I might be a victim of identity theft. Fucking awesome.
I’ve just been made aware that there are some really great lease specials on new Aston Martins!
Stuttgart - Porsche takes the next step into digitalization with the new QR Code Logo. It will replace the original Porsche Crest that was created in 1952 and will be first introduced with the Taycan.
I’m selling a few parts from the S3 online and have listed them in some of the model or part specific Facebook groups I’ve been a part of.
I bought an Autocheck subscription when looking for my GS and went with the 25 reports for 21 days deal. Tomorrow is when my subscription expires and I have (I think) about 20 reports remaining.
Any Oppos have any idea of how to go about finding this? I’ve got a few chips and bits of rash on the wheels on the GS that would all but disappear with a good touchup, but I’m having trouble finding a paint code for the wheels both on the car or Google.
For the week between selling my S3 and picking up the GS, I needed a rental car. Budget was kind enough to offer me a free upgrade, so I took temporary possession of a 2019 Hyundai Elantra with about 900 miles on the clock.
Flew out to Nashville and picked up the GS from a small dealer last Saturday. Flight went out at 6am and I got back home at around 8pm. It was a long day. Good news is that the GS ran like a champ the entire way. Bad news was that given the lousy stretch of I-40 running through Knoxville, I ended up with a bubble in…
Received the results of the PPI I requested at the local Lexus store where I’m picking up my new-to-me 2011 GS350, and there were a few things they pointed out, one of which is a bit worrisome.
Agreement in principle with a dealer out of state on a 2011 GS350 in Smokey Granite Mica. About 100k on the clock and 12k out the door. Inspection scheduled at the local Lexus dealer on Monday. Looks identical to the one below:
Interested to hear Oppo’s take on this. For reference, I’ve been considering reducing debt and the first place to start would be moving on from my S3. Love the car, not the payment :).
As a new dad, I’ve started taking a bit of a harder look at my family’s budget. We aren’t close to being tight or anything, but at the same time increased monthly consumables costs coupled with daycare costs and reduced income by way of health insurance for the baby and a dependent care savings account are making…
