With the Forever Car, you only want to add meaningful miles. That will occasionally mean taking it to work, sometimes just to meetups or to watch the foliage along the Merritt Parkway.

Nah, the profile is bad regardless of ride height. People also shat on the BMW GTs.

Even top top notch collector cars rarely appreciate faster than simple index funds over the same period of time, especially when upkeep expenses are factored in.

#2 sounds gross....

Now I find out about this.

I don’t know if 100% of EVs adhere to this, but all the ones I’ve looked into don’t let you drive if the charging cable is connected.

I had to make my own tool for that out of an old socket:

A technician taught me this trick once, but if you wrap the strut shaft in ~10 wraps of electrical tape and grab it with a pair of vise grips, you hold the shaft in place without marring it whatsoever. Significantly improved my strut workflow.

Recent Bolt and Bolt EUVs are not under any recall, my fact-challenged friend. They have not built many of the fixed version, but the road is clear for them going forward.

Every one of them was rode hard and put away wet.

Not flirting, but this is a white privilege I have experienced many times. Politeness and whiteness goes a long way to getting out of a ticket. The latter is not the way this is supposed to work.

Also the only EV that isn’t shaped like a jelly bean, oddly enough.

some company that has signed on has probably found a loop hold

Judging on acceleration numbers, these were a bit overrated compared to their German cousins. The MK VII Golf R was rated at 300 and is actually pretty even in a drag race.

Calling it now: This is going to be a shit show and the money would be better spent on increased enforcement during peak DWI hours.

Drunk driving accounts for so few accidents in the country. Comapred to cell phone driver and sleepy drivers, DUI crashes make up a nearly meaningless portion of the crashes. But its low hanging fruit - no one in theri right mind would ever speak out in support of drunks - but this is misguided tech.

As long as you don’t crash it or blow it up (this is a big ask), this is probably going to appreciate. NP.

You left out loud pipes

They have wings and fly through the air

If I had an EV, I would never cross country with it. There are better tools for the job at this point. It’s still early…
