As someone who was in a terrible accident that pushed my seat very far forward and the dangling keys deep into my knee, I’m quite okay with the push-button start. The resulting scar on my knee still tingles to the touch.

Easy.  An instrument cluster that is backlit even when headlights are not on.  Because of that, I often see people driving down the freeway with no headlights or taillights on because they have no clue they are off.

I sense the inevitable slideshow of Jalopnik’s readers least favorite modern features.

“I often spend a few idle minutes wondering what America would look like if air travel went back to being ridiculously expensive and we all just drove to Wally World instead of flying to Hawaii.”

putting the volume and ac controls on a stupid ass screen.

I don’t know the specifics, but taking away a mascot that actually represented them seems far worse than the usual reverse we are so used to see.

Probably closer to Cherokee -> Liberty, GC -> Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer stays the same.

Can we also get rid of all the Texas Edition trucks? Not all Texans drive a truck. I find this stereotype offensive to my people!

Also Jeep never asked their permission 45 years ago, and hasn’t paid them a single cent of the money they have made over that time from selling Cherokees, so why should the Cherokee nation have to continue to shut up and watch a multi-billion dollar car company make money off their tribe’s name?

The problem is that “Cherokee” is not the tribe’s name for itself, which is Aniyvwiyaʔi, which means “the people,” which is the most common name ethnic groups have for themselves. The word “cherokee” is most likely of Choctaw origin. It’s like the people of central Europe being called “German,” but their own name for

I just did, so suck it.

Mustang is offensive to horses and appropriates their identity...Lamborghini models are offensive to fighting bulls, and don’t get me started with Jaguar. Pontiac was offensive too to Native Peoples, why was its name never changed?

Because doing that sucks?

I call bullshit. Maybe this would be an issue if the name were in some way derogatory to native americans. It’s not.

She was doing really well and then just went right back to “lol, small penis” at the end.

But I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that these trucks aren’t popular because of their practical features. They’re popular because they’re stupid big and make you feel important.

Those windshield cover things are brilliant.

This isn’t an issue like it used to be and it’s a lot easier to apply some trim restorer than it is to get rocker panels repainted.

The reason is wagons are cool.

If I was in the market for a $100k+ electric car, this would be it.
