Wow Tom Atkins is already sold out

The shit

I’m considering buying the blurays, ripping them, and building my own. I just use P+ for Trek and Twin Peaks. Just need the time to do all that...

I’m not at all surprised this topic brought out some unhinged takes.  Honestly why I clicked the story

If you liked the Star Wars prequels, you’ll like Crystal Skull. Otherwise you’ll struggle to suppress the sound of banjo music in the distance

I swear this already came out last year? Or was it announced, then COVID happened, and now they’ve finally gotten around to making and releasing it?

Mmmmm. Shai Hulud.

Also, convenient of the same outlet that bemoaned the casting in Gods of Egypt to shrug and play the agnostic card on this issue

How embarassing

I don’t even know who she is (old and don’t really pay attention to that part of pop culture anymore) and I actively dislike Jack Black. That said... It was fine. I like that episode but for the unclear motivations for Lloyd’s character

Was personally hoping for Gigan, Megalon, or Biollante, but I’ve found these films consistently enjoyable so let’s go!

That’s up there with accusing heavily foreshadowed events of being “predictable, lazy writing”

I didn’t hate it. I agree with others that actual (non-Star Wars) celebrities are distracting, but on a side show it doesn’t bother me. I like all the legacy aliens and droids and the fun comic-like story. This season’s goofiness reminds me of the old Marvel run, and even some of the Dark Horse 90s stuff. Favreau!

Prediction: It will definitely be a soundtrack of songs he likes playing over a sequence of scenes with quirky, unrelatable people

Isn’t “unobtainium” already an informal term in engineering for a rare, ideal, hard to obtain material? I feel like in real life, should such a material with its properties in the Avatar universe be found, and on a single planet far away, the scientists and engineers clamoring to study/use it would unironically start

Just showed this to my buddy and we had a good laugh, thanks for this.

Not only that, the formal tone helps make it a bit more timeless. Making it conversational vernacular from the year 2023 would make it sound dated in just a few years. The author has also forgotten the precious gift of deadpan uttering “Wizard,” at something cool. It’s weird, because it’s supposed to be. If he said “Co

This and Into the Spiderverse both have some kind of jittery framerate that is hard for me to watch for extended periods. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but I’ve tried to describe it to other people and nobody else seems to notice. Otherwise this kind of reminds me of Venture Bros.

As we’ve seen from S1 and S2, they don’t dare give the people what they want.

My thought exactly.
