Her campaign staffers are toying with the slogan, “It’s Her Turn!” We’ll see how it goes when Daemon unveils his more succinct “Make Westeros Great Again

“Who’s the bigger fool? The fool or the fool who follows him reflexively whines about the fool whether he’s there or not?”

I think they blew a cool opportunity here- in the TOS episode, the Romulan commander was played by Mark Lenard, who would go on to play Spock’s father Sarek throughout the franchise until the 09 film. Sarek was played by James Frain in Discovery, so it would have been a fun Easter Egg to have him play the Romulan

The very realistic and important project of eliminating all things “problematic” carries on. But sure, it’s the Evangelicals who are sanctimonious nutbags

So is a woman villain going to turn herself into Jane Foster Thor because “we women need to stick together?”  That was the most cringe thing ever in modern comics.  The fact that this writer seems excited for that iteration of Thor while dumping on everything else reminds me what website this is

I’ve caught flack for years criticizing Laurie’s American accent. I didn’t know he wasn’t American until maybe the third season, but something was always off, even uncanny, about his accent. Like the accent of someone who grew up in Arkansas but lived in California for a decade or two, and has some cousins in Nebraska

Keep going with Hollow Earth with maybe Atlantis; bring in Megalon and rewrite Gigan (my lifelong fave) as an ancient cyborg resurrection of a MUTO (they look alike anyway) designed by Atlanteans to mine the Hollow Earth mineral (whatever it was called). That’s two new bads, so they can bring in Godzy’s ride-or-die

They’ve been in games and comics for a long time.

Young Sarlaccs are mobile, have legs and kind of look like the assblasters from Tremors. Once they find a good place to burrow, they do so and just hang out, getting bigger and bigger eating unlucky animals that get too close until they eventually reproduce, spewing out spores or something. The Krayt Dragon is another

My mom’s a lifelong smoker but has been worried about switching to vape (she’s beyond actually quitting unfortunately) because of the lack of safety oversight in the devices.  Hopefully this will be a good option for her and others like her who are hooked on nicotine

I loved that episode! I got an apartment in a 100 year old building after grad school, and it had a knee-high door in the hallway by my bedroom that was bolted shut. My love of that episode was a big part of what made me want to sign the lease (also it was cheap and a ten minute walk to where I worked)

Legendary Films has somehow made 4 hit kaiju films based on a beloved property that has a spotty history with American adaptations.  If this is successful at all I think they’ll be moving forward

In fairness, in a world where the powerful literally wield magic and dragons exist as weapons of mass destruction, that would alter the incentive structure for how technology develops. Maybe you’d get up to steampunk but not much farther

I hope she sees this

They used magic to defeat a giant robot octopus coming out of an interdimensional space anus, get it right!

I played in the 90s through about 2005 and tried to pick it up about 2015 and it was difficult with all the new stuff (what even is a Planeswalker?).  Me and my buds just play like it’s 6th Edition again

Wasn’t that series just a reboot of Mars Attacks! with dinosaurs replacing the Martians? They also used some of the card concepts that got turned down in the 60s Mars run because they were too violent (“destroying a dog” was one example iirc)

Takes me back to March 2016, “30 Years ago, four friends saved the world... [but this movie has nothing to do with that].”

As someone who was dead center in the target demo at that time, I somehow never saw it and never have. I’m OK keeping it that way

At least they don’t do those ridiculous HD animated GIFs anymore.  Those used to crash my work computer
