I think this is true of many of the candidates from battleground states. I think they’re waiting for a ‘Howard Dean’ moment from the front runners (which was the result of a high sensitivity mic and was drowned out by the crowd) to see if they can step in.

I think the assumption is that the UK will come crawling to us for a trade deal and we’ll reap the benefits of that.

Agreed. So, they’re a bunch of wimps? (/s trolling to prove a point)

Yep, a court can compel you to give up the goods.  Every NDA has the same language about that exception and the opportunity for the discloser to fight it, if they’d like.

I’m thrilled that they’re in a spiral, but the damage they’ve caused and the infrastructure they’ve set up won’t be harmed for a decade or more. The fear of even a potentially impotent NRA is so great, that most politicians are still afraid to propose any meaningful gun reform laws, lest they get a bad grade from the

The problem with calling White supremacists terrorists are many:

I agree it remains a problem, but when conservatives use it as a means of “whataboutism,’ to distract, troll, etc. then the fake concern they have is significantly diluted. If you REALLY cared about gun crime in Chicago, then you’d try to address the underlying issues. And guess what, giving people easier access to

To speak nothing of the previous generations of housing covenants, redlining, plain old intimidation, etc.

This gets old:

Middle America is not a definition, but a political statement. Middle America implies: rural or suburban, hard-working, white folks that represent the “real” America.

So, what level of crime is it to cross the border illegally? My understanding is that it’s the equivalent of a traffic ticket (essentially a federal misdemeanor).

I read most of his life as:

I’d say it passes in purple states, but deep red states have no incentive or pressure to do so.

Voter Roll purges and gerrymandering will protect them for at least another 10 years.  Sure, we might wind a couple of more seats, but we probably won’t take a the house, senate or governor’s mansion for quite some time.  This alarm is mostly a call for Trump and RNC to throw them some more red meat.

I don’t agree. Private insurance is fine, as long as there’s no reduction in their contributions or a tax deduction for people who choose to go private.  You pay for M4A, and if you want to pay more to get platinum treatment, great.

And if you offered a $15 minimum, more aggressive OSHA standards, overtime pay for more categories of workers, parental leave, sick pay, etc. I’d be fine with the reduced need for unions. Unions serve as a counterbalance to employers who wish to exploit workers. If you end all exploitation of workers, I don’t mind if

I’m waiting for a “Stand by Me” moment where an armed patriot views another armed patriot as a threat, and shoots them, which causes other armed patriots to shoot other armed patriots they believe to be a threat.

A friend once posted on FB about whether to order Veuve Clicquot or (some other fancy champagne) and added the hashtag #whitepeopleproblems. I don’t think he meant it to be racist, but it was because he did associate whiteness and wealth.

Uncle Joe is just that- he’s that racist uncle that a lot of white people have. Sometimes he’s MAGA-level racist and sometimes he’s well meaning, but still kinda racist. Uncle Joe seems to closer to the well meaning, but still kinda racist category.
