Thank you for correcting me- I wasn’t aware of that information.  I guess I would expand my statement to the other times where police were caught lying and yet very little or nothing happens to them.

I find it strange (read: sad) that knowingly lying about a material element of a case is a crime (or at least carries a heavy civil penalty) in every other facet of our legal system, except when it comes to the police.

Using the logic of, “if you don’t like it, leave,”  That means millions of knuckle-draggers should have packed up during the Obama years, Clinton years, etc., right?

Your argument is intentionally misleading since you discuss a $35 deductible (which is from a PPO or HMO) and $8000 deductible (likely from an HSA and catastrophic coverage). Those are two different types of plans.  

The GOP/insurance lobby intentionally conflates doctors with health insurance because they know you don’t like your insurance company, but you might like your doctor.

People like their doctors, but are neutral or negative towards their insurance companies.  They don’t know anything else, so they’re afraid of the unknown and the GOP/Insurance lobby has done a great job instilling them with fear. 

Former Chicago resident. Our city and state politicians have corruption built into their DNA and have little shame about it. I’m hoping Lightfoot changes that history.

Sadly- I share your views (even about indictments). You just know the GOP would abuse it by getting a podunk alabama sheriff to try to arrest POTUS, or get a sympathetic district attorney to indict for something made up.

Seems like hitting the pocketbook of the team and supporters is more effective. Clear the stands of the supporters and let the team continue play. I did a few random searches: Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc. and their calibration is off. Fox news is considered slightly right, while CNN is a strong left.  Sorry, in no world is CNN stronger left than Fox is right.  That’s patently absurd.
