‘Organic’ white flight was causing a reduction. But the 68' riots/protests that have caused those numbers to plummet. It wasn’t until the late 90s and early 2000's that the white population started to return in significant numbers.

What is the basis for that number? Tea Party Uncle (tm) has used it multiple times.  I assume it’s just pulled from a pseudo study from the National Review or something like that.

I don’t think his thinking is that advanced. But to your suggestion, it’s not a bad one, but the current situation is that Israel controls all of those areas, wants to keep it that way, wants to keep other religions out, and wants to make their capital the center of all of it.

The fact that they keep pursuing it is interesting. I wonder if they’ve offered him a (reasonable) plea deal or just keep hounding him to try to make an example of?

They’re fine with joining because it was a standing issue. They’re happy to allow gerrymandering in substance. Also, if you do the math, there are more GOP Attorneys general than Dems. So, this precedent can prevent a Democratically controlled house or senate from disputing a gerrymandered state.

While I agree with you, progressives tie far too much value to these types of “owns.”  Sure he’ll lose that fight, but guess who has the power to prevent us from securing our elections, from nominating judges, etc.  The GOP is nothing if not relentlessly focused on the scoreboard and the long term.
