What’s a competitor? If they’re really independent contractors, and not employees, each driver is competing with the other driver, aren’t they? If that’s true, a lot independent contractors are all agreeing to a price for a service is price fixing.

Correct, but through their actions they’re engaged in price fixing since Uber determines the price. Alternatively, all the drivers are engaged in price fixing since they are collectively deciding what the going rate is.

Somewhat serious question: Are former Trump administration people getting ‘good’ jobs after their tenure? Typically, ex-GOP administration folks just go the PAC, think tank or professor route. But it seems these people either lack the smarts, or are so tied to Trump, that they don’t have as many job opportunities.

No. Trump has shown the anti-intellectualism and fact nihilism is thriving. Something doesn’t fit your narrative? Claim its fake, claim their biased, claim that they’re trying to make money, or find another “expert” who is either not an expert or is explicitly paid to be denier.

I’m guessing her testimony and answers to questions are carefully constructed to be CYA for both her and Trump. If she gets into any corners, it’s I don’t recall” or “executive privilege.” They’re giving up some underling to give the appearance of cooperation and to tire out the public’s attention to this.

Sadly- African Americans voted for Republicans in greater numbers than the previous election. Granted, it’s still single digits, but enough to give them bragging rights about it.
