Actually, just attending a seminar on Thursday for the NWS Dual Pol radar system, having spotters is becoming redundant. The velocity signatures on the radar usually have the tornado warning up first. The lead time the WSD gives people is more than the spotter. The NWS is not going to hold off on a warning, waiting…

Can we get some numbers (percentage ones preferably) on how many are catching fire? Is it as bad as the red ring of death on the xbox? Or is it more like the odds of winning at bingo?
