My wife (who is very much not a gamer) got her first aerial goal the other day, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen her as happy as she was when it happened save maybe our wedding day (though I may be lying to myself there).

You completely misread and misinterpreted that. He said he changed the number once after reports allowed people to guess it (though I am not exactly sure what reports). He refers to destroying them specifically to prevent financial info (contract info) and family pictures etc. from being revealed.

The limitation is specific to previous gen consoles. It's already hell opening menus and inventory without further upgrades. I say they just develop a different inventory system for current gen consoles personally.
