It was the first multiplayer shooter on the PS3. It made the fact that the PS3 came with no headset hurt a little bit. I logged on to play, and then felt really sad that I couldn't hear people talking. I ran out and bought a Bluetooth headset, and then realized that no one was talking anyway.

On the subject of free to play, it's not the model I have an issue with. It's games that abuse it by nickle and dime-ing you to death, and skewing the gameplay to "incentivise" you to pay for getting to the next level quicker, beating a boss easier, etc etc etc. So garbage.

QUOTE | "It's always struck me as a little odd how resentful players are in the F2P business model about paying a couple dollars when they don't think twice about paying $50 for the same amount of fun or gameplay time." - Veteran designer Steve Meretzky, talking about the evolution of free-to-play games.

I get it. I get how important and critical gameplay is. I get how some games are all about the gameplay and it's why they're played.

"Yes" or "no" does what a review should do—it tells you whether that reviewer thinks a game is worth your time or not. It also forces you to read reviews and be more informed about a game before you buy it, rather than just buying a game because it has a higher score than its competitors.

And your point? I said CoD devs, which obviously implies current CoD devs.

Backers bought perks. Oculus delivered what they bought. Oculus doesn't owe backers anything more. Also, backers did not buy ownership of the company. They just bought perks.

I'm not sure why a majority of backers would be opposed to this. They got the reward for what they pledged, and the company is more successful than ever. Isn't that what backing is? Isn't it a good faith vote for wanting a thing to have success with a reward?

Ok, this has been bothering me all day since reading everyone's comments. Oculus doesn't owe you anything more than what was promised for the amount you pledged just because they made money and they started on Kickstarter. You didn't buy shares of their stock, you pledged X amount of money for X in return. You got X.

People paid for a dev kit. They got a dev kit.

My theory is that every post-2000s Disney movie is a spinoff of Frasier.

I can just foresee myself entering into a cave once Destiny is out in September. This game is almost the dream game that i have always wanted.

Dust was such an amazing and beautiful game. It's a shame that most people blew it off as a furry fetish game and criticized the art as being "Deviantart quality" instead of actually worrying about the actual gameplay itself.

Ah seuss, I hope one day I will read a comment of yours that won't make me sigh and shake my head slowly.

Well, you know you're not exactly the most soft-spoken person , Doc. You frequently come off as very abrasive. In fact, being arrogant, aggressive and making un-earned remarks have been undoubtedly attributed to you frequently in the past. So it's kind of ironic that you say that.

Judging from your other comments, I take it you are just relating your experiences of reader feedback from your kotaku published hit pieces on games such as Uncharted 2 or Red Dead Redemption. When you put silly stuff out there such as these games being terrible, what sort of reaction do you expect?

Anyone who tries to argue that a specific fanbase or group of fanboys is worse than another is more than likely a fanboy themselves and is only contributing to the problem.

Exactly what the trench coat and fedora wearing guy would say if he wanted to throw us off the scent. You aren't fooling us

There are some cameos if you've played the other games, but nothing really major continues over.

This sale is about the destination.
