The problem is often users.... from experience doing IT support... most barely understand what a technical issue actually is, let alone notice or comprehend... not saying thats you or 100% fact.

The number of comments both here and elsewhere I’ve seen suggesting Charles Martinet, a man who has been a professional voice actor for longer than this franchise’s core audience has been alive, wouldn’t do a good job because they assume he can literally only do the lines “wahoo” and “it’s-a-me” are something.

Yeah, I dont need him to SOUND like Luigi as he is in the games, but to simply capture the essence that is the frantic worrywart Luigi, and Charlie Day has basically cornered that market.

Something I find interesting, and obviously others may disagree, but Charlie Day to me doesn’t really sound anything like I think Luigi would, but the energy he brings is so very Luigi that I love it anyway. Makes me think that Pratt could work if he has the right energy also, but I don’t feel it yet.

I wouldn’t say “misplaced”. He just has never done anything better than Andy in Parks & Rec, and that character was as obnoxious as he was cute. He keeps getting cast as a leading man when no one in his audience asked him to lead anything. He is just shoved down your throat.
