It's tough. This sounds crazy, but there are a few hypnotist recordings that deal directly with this. It helped calm me the last time that I went. Also, try to seat yourself next to a friendly face, if at all possible, someone who will be nice when you look panicky and engage you in conversation.

A dollar coin and some new little earrings. :)

A dollar coin (because they are cool) and a pair of earrings for her newly pierced ears. I think I'm going to stick with cool, odd dollar coins as the thing. Cheap but interesting.

My child just lost her first tooth! My time as the tooth fairy has now begun.

Better to turn off the television than listen to his unqualified suggestions. #DrPhilDescribesHimselfinTweet

Well. That's it. I'm done with DC.

These days, I walk in and say, "I have XYZ symptoms. Here's what works. Please write the prescription." I don't bring up anything else, because they won't listen anyway. They just, you are right, start looking bored and smug and skeptical. They get a little huffy when I do this, but unsurprisingly, will write the

Oh, it's not just because of your anxiety and depression. I mean, I bet that adds to that lazy doctor response, but let me tell you, I can go into the doctor's office sounding sick as a dog, with a temperature, and get the "Are you stressed?" speech, instead of competent care. I think it might just be the automatic

With doctors, you have to push. You have to insist. Otherwise, sadly, most will happily decide you're fine, a hypochondriac, or a whiner, without really checking. At least, that's my experience. It's hard to find someone good at that job. Most doctors kind of suck at their jobs.

I can't help it. I have to armchair psychoanalyze here.

I didn't think they'd actually MAKE this movie. I thought the fun would just be the hilarious fake casting rumors.

I love these guys in all their variations.

You are not right. As wages go up, historically, they go up for everyone. As more money moves through the economy, more people have a better chance of spending more money on those working independently or who are paid by project. You are not left out of this equation.

You should be making higher wages, too. Evidently, you missed that part where, if they do this and win, everyone can do this and win. Hmm.

Seriously, fuck these people that think that hard work, like standing and working and serving others is a 'less-than' job where they shouldn't be paid a living wage. Fuck those selfish, stupid assholes, who also don't understand economics at all and make me despair in how ridiculous stupid and uninformed that they are

I asked you to lie to me, damn it.

But ... you're not saying that creationism is intellectual, right? It's a belief system. Maybe just "Movements get their most fervent and dangerous when they're dying."

Argh!!! I know! That entire line of questioning is so very punchable.

Wow. Is it good that people no longer understand the basics of slavery (indicating that at least that much has changed)? Or, is it bad that people no longer understand the basics of slavery (indicating a complete ignorance of both history and its relevance to today)?

:) No problem. I hate the whole "if you are religious, you are an idiot" thing just as much as "we lived with the dinosaurs 6000 years ago!" thing. I even had a cousin who claimed that Satan had buried the dinosaur bones to fool believers. Crazy, man.
