It took me a bit to get into the story, but I eventually found myself really caring about the characters. The trips in the Nomad became a real highlight because it was fun just driving around and listening to my squad members talk.

Just simple enjoyment. Though, as someone who literally just finished the bugged to hell glitchfest that was Mass Effect: Andromeda, I can’t really complain about people wanting to play/spend money on early access games.
