is it a VHS tape? because those contain harmful chemicals that can leech into soil. But its 2015 it has to be a USB stick or DVD at worst right? unless they have a ceremonial VHS tape that they slap a label on but has no actual footage on it

Yes BUT you have to use iCloud Music Library which syncs your library between all devices and isnt something I had turned on.
