I tried FCPX for the 30 day trial, even went to the Apple store for a group demo, couldnt do it. Premiere CS6 has settings for FCP5 keyboard shortcuts and layouts. Ive made the switch w/ creative cloud and never looked back

You need to have Internet once every 30 days so the software can make sure you paid, thats it. Updates ARENT automatic, they are just available ASAP. You still have to physically choose to download them.
