I bought my Focus ST in June of 2013. Had it for a year, and sold it so I could get a Miata. Never looked back.

Keep the Miata AND buy the ST. I have a NA and 13' ST. I am a happy man.

I kind of liked the method where there was a slot for it to go if you wanted to. That just makes sense. Not to say it should be mandatory or be required to start the car by putting the fob there, that'd defeat the purpose of push-to-start.
