@Israfel_angel: I said I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I'm absolutely not blaming her, I think it's possible he could have kept this side of himself hidden and she doesn't bear any responsibility for him cheating on her. I just think that after all the publicity surrounding this scandal she's always

I think she basically has no choice but to divorce him now if she wants to salvage her image. And even then it might not be possible; I think Sandra will have a very hard time painting herself as America's Sweetheart from here on out. She should be given the benefit of the doubt, but I think she's always going to be

@katyarizhaya: Lifelong DC resident here and I just wanted to thank you for this. She is awesome.

@BrilliantCorners: You are crazy. I'm all about Mr. Rochester, if we're going to be romanticizing douchey behavior!

@CubeRootOfPi: Seriously, would like some Eternal Sunshine for my ravaged mind right now. Most horrifying simile EVER, and I can't get it out of my brain! Try not to think about that every time you see a picture of him now!

@AthertonMerriweather: Oh god I just left a very similar story upthread - mine involved the word slut also, but it was spray paint on my parents' house. So sorry for what you went through. It took me so fucking long to trust women again after what happened to me.

I just read stories like Phoebe Prince's and can't help getting really sad and hung up about one issue - how teenage girls are demonized for their sexuality. I guess a lot of this stems from my personal experiences - when I was 15 some popular girls spray painted the word "slut" in huge white letters on the side of

@lollilove: Did you read this piece? [www.salon.com]

@Sev: Oh my god, yes. To all the people downthread talking about how James Franco is so smart - seriously, this piece should tell you everything you need to know about his intellect : [www.salon.com]

@chloros: It's just that the way you put it, it made it sound like he was trying to justify his own behavior toward women by putting forth a pro-rape argument. That's what I was responding to. I didn't mean to be heteronormative, obviously gay men can be raped and can rape other people.

@chloros: He's gay, but it doesn't mean he's not a raging misogynist.

@ILiketheWord'Pugilist': Yes! I was stunned not to see it here. Carrie Fisher has the funniest drug stories EVER.

@turtlebashodi: and yeah I don't think Larry David talks much about his time at Maryland (I doubt he ever had to use his MBA) but my Seinfeld-loving friends and I take great pride in the fact that his misanthropy was honed here. Maybe that's why I love him.

@turtlebashodi: are you still in school/around the area? I'm a junior.

@turtlebashodi: what up fellow terrapin! We also produced Larry David...

@euterpe35: I find wedge heels pretty wearable - my feet will start tingling and burning if I wear spike heels/stilettos for more than five minutes, but I can stand in wedges and platforms comfortably for hours, no matter how high. Walking without tripping over myself, however, is another story.

@DontFearTheReefer: (sorry for linking to that horrible website, but they have a before/after shot.)
