i don't know. while he's certainly a vile human being, you have to think about how he represents his constituency and what's best for all the people in the district and, by extension, all of america. i happen to think that democratic policies will help many more people than the republican ones will, and so i'm not

@crampyscamp: it's totally true! i used to be obsessed with titanic as a kid (first PG-13 movie my mom let me see! i was about 8) and i saved up my allowance and bought the official "making-of" book. there was an interview with james cameron in it and he admitted to saying that, without even a hint of remorse. gross.

LOL, himbo. gene simmons is a textbook example. i'm going to file that one away for later use.

is that jason bateman?? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

did you guys know that james cameron (director of titanic) used to call her "kate weighs-a-lot" and pressured her to lose weight during filming? major props to her for staying strong and not submitting to his bullshit standards. getting that kind of criticism when you're filming a huge blockbuster movie is enough to

"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public." —H.L. Mencken.

@coodlebump: it's called the multicultural pack. they still sell it!

@scarletwine: yeah, me too - my genes are terrible. i have the genetic predisposition for alcoholism about 8 times over, as well as a history of schizophrenia and mood disorders on both sides of my family. sometimes i even think it's not morally defensible for me to reproduce, since chances are my kid will have issues.

@penny_lane: yes! thank you! i do think BP people tend to have highly developed aesthetic senses, which is why there are so many of us in the arts. i love mucha's work, but i mostly chose this one because she kind of looks like me (similar hair, anyway) and appears to be smoking a joint, which is totally awesome. as a

they totally make a special crayon pack with every skin tone! i used to be really into it when i was in kindergarten.

don't most women experience mild euphoria after childbirth? it has to do with the endorphins released by the pain (and maybe also the fact that the baby is finally out of you!). i'm not sure how this could be quantified in the study.

@penny_lane: i'm BPII also (or so they tell me!) and i worry about this also, even though, knock on wood, i won't be having kids for at least 5 years. you're not alone!

@ladyshiv: actually, the sufjan christmas collection is a 4-album set, and all of them are great.

she's gorgeous, but not feeling the drag queen makeup. she needs to quit slathering it on! nonetheless, she looks hot and makes a great WW.

lauren conrad has double jointed elbows, just like me! (see how they bend backwards?)

GUYS, I NEED PEOPLE TO JOIN MY COVEN

ughhhh, after years of reading women's magazines as a teen and stressing out/hating my body, i finally had an epiphany: some guys like skinny women. some guys prefer curvy women. whatever your natural shape, you'll find plenty of men out there who'll think you look hot. IT'S A NON-ISSUE SO STFU STUPID MAGS.

@jetztinberlin: if she's pregnant, i'm in about my fifth trimester. fuck this bodysnarking! just because she's not standing up straight doesn't mean she's knocked up.

@devilchyld22: yeah, thanks for this. comments about teen moms can get really judgy. it's definitely not a choice i would have made for myself had i been in her situation, but just because she had her baby at 17 doesn't mean she's destroyed her life or that her kid's going to be a fuck-up. things are going to be

i'm no fan of plastic surgery - in my experience it nearly always looks super-obvious and fake - but i gotta say, she looks pretty good. serious kudos to her surgeon for not turning her into a fish-face.
