Area Woman

And his birthday is this Friday! I’m a fellow Washingtonian and we share a birthday. Happy birthday, Rick Steves!

People should really keep their eyes on their own paper when it comes to what other people eat, or do and don’t like.

I miss Sandwich Mondays so much! I don’t work Mondays and looked forward to reading them every week. I was really surprised there was no mention sandwiches are an area of expertise for Peter Sagal.

That’s a really lovely story. And that’s some good parenting! I love Neko Case.  One of my good friends is playing in her band this tour, and another friend and I went down to see them in San Diego this summer (she wasn’t headlining, and we didn’t stick around for the headliner) and my husband and I have tickets for

I just walked over to the kitchen cupboard and snapped this photo:

* Pho, always. I had a medical trauma and was in the hospital for 12 days, and that was pretty much the only thing that sounded at all appetizing/could be kept down. And it’s mostly what I wanted the first two weeks out of the hospital.

I’m sure he has them all memorized.

Is it the winner of an early cycle of ANTM. CariDee(???) English?

J. Crew had cashmere sweatpants at some point not too long ago. I so wanted them.

I have a pair of knee-high boots that I got in 2011-ish, and a pair of black flats that I’ve never worn, both from Nordstrom Rack. I’m not sure what I’ll do about them...

Wow. So intimate.

It looks like the Good English band Facebook page has been disabled. Ha!

When I was 19 I overheard my mother tell her friend “Area Woman would be pretty if she lost weight”. Now that I’m an adult, she still comments on my weight all the time, but in the other direction. You’re too thin! Do you eat?!?

Haha! Beautiful.

No idea! She was quite young when she got it.

I used to be friends with a woman whose younger sister got her own name tattooed on her person and it was misspelled! It was Emily, spelled the standard way, so I have no idea how they fucked that one up.

My aunt sent this to me as a suggestion for my new exercise regimen. I had a hard time keeping my eyes off her friend's package. It was BOUNCY.

Haha, totally!

Yeah, but they still probably look like kids' clothes, so wearing them as a professional seems a bit weird. They might be okay for casual stuff, but don't imagine they have much in the way of anything that would be appropriate for work.

Right! 0 and XS should be the smallest sizes. You're a lawyer, right? I am a therapist, and wearing children's clothes won't exactly project gravitas, you know?
