No lint is a big one for me!
The big trend I've noticed is that the local Goodwills/Salvation Armies/thrift stores are ransacked by all the small "vintage" (or whatever) boutiques and cleaned out of every single Ugly Christmas Sweater. Then boutiques mark them up 300% and sell them to suckers.
One Christmas, long ago the only booze available for our nog was a bottle of (apparently) nice Almond Tequila some one's mom had brought back from a Mexican cruise. We went for it. It was incredible!
Because that's just what chefs do....
Easy bruschetta comes to mind.
Here here! (Though it was Ridley Scott that said it.)
The only reason I don't still drive my Jetta is because it was totaled a few months ago :( So I bought a used Honda. It was stolen within a month.
It gave me a Jetta, which is what I used to drive. Lol, I thought it would be way out of left field.
Yes, this! I've never had caved-in muffins like this either (unless someone jumped in the kitchen). Barely/gently folding the batter is key! Sifting also helps everything incorporate correctly too. I usually give my dry ingredients a quick whisk even after sifting too. Just cuz that's what I do... Great advice…
I've Urban dictionary'd it and I'm still at a loss... wtf does "fleek" mean?
I have two. #1 is an ex from long ago. We managed to keep a casual friendship after our breakup. He actually helped me get the job. Our relationship is funny because we know each other so well that we easily call each other on our shit. We can get each other out of bad moods. And communicate really honestly about all…
I think for experienced cooks a thermometer isn't necessary. But for someone who is just starting or starting to get serious, it's an important tool. Associating the right look/feel to the correct temp and all that.
This season really is bad. I'm really disappointed with it. I'm rewatching Coven with my BF now. Seasons 1-3 are all solid. But 4 is just... I don't know. It's almost like they relied to heavily on the "creepy" freak show setting and never bothered writing an interesting, underlying, and cohesive plot. All the other…
This is going to sound cold, but I'm genuinely curious... Who was paying for all these doctor and specialist visits?
This is my favorite way to dice an onion. Though I recommend slicing it horizontally first, then vertically - a little more control/safer that way.
That long white dress!!!! Stunning!
I've made a conscious decision to go ahead and dive into the Holiday Spirit. Picking up a tree and decorations tonight after work. Going to chow down on some homemade pizza and a bottle of wine, listen to some (dear god not Christmas) music, and decorate the tree with my beau.
I'd say so. It all depends on who you are buying for. $96 for one year of Netflix or $48 for PandoraOne for say your parents/sibling seems pretty modest to me. I guess I look at it compared to another gift you could give for $50-$100. Most people would use these services nearly daily.
These are great ideas. And things like Netflix, Pandora, etc. fit well into a more modest budget!
