auto dealers and manufacturers are both taking advantage of the current situation. manufacturers are (mostly) making increased profits on decreased sales. auto dealers are making record profits because of gouging and downsizing.
Glad you were able to get something at MSRP. When I was shopping for a Kia Seltos, literally every dealer in and outside of Omaha was marking them up $3-5K and none of them would budge. Every time I called they were like “Oh, when it comes in it immediately gets this and that and that” and it was so frustrating.…
Recently bought my daughter a 2022 Hyundai Accent Limited for her college graduation and because her previous car blew a head gasket. Anyway, bought it from Beardmore Hyundai outside Omaha. Honestly the best new car buying experience I’ve ever had. When asked by the sales manager after the deal was done how I…
The Volvo C30 can be called a lot of things, but it cannot be called “new”. It went out of production nearly 10 years ago.
Fuck it. I don’t care.
I get a weird enjoyment out of spotting Murano CrossCabriolets on the road. We have an oddly large population of them here in the Twin Cities. This would be no different. I’m sure they would have been lambasted for creating it, and it would have (most likely) sold poorly, but I bet they’d be fun to spot on the roads…
“mistakenly”
In 2020, my wife went to the supermarket. She was wearing a mask. She was confronted in the produce section by a guy with no mask and a Colt Python in a holster on his hip. He proceeded to lecture her about how wearing the mask was letting fear rule her life.
Well these are “intended” for militaries, and high value targets in dangerous places. Places like Mexico City, I know they used to have stuff like this in South Africa. Basically places where there is a high chance you will be attacked or kidnapped. But for Jones, he buys one because his dick is the size of a grain…
There’s a post over on Jezebel today about how Jones’ lawyers mistakenly sent the Sandy Hook parents’ legal team his entire phone’s worth of text messages from the last two years, effectively giving them proof that he has committed perjury and refused to supply evidence that he claimed didn’t exist. He’s very, very…
But they’ll say we shouldn’t be afraid of a deadly virus!
The same people who carry a gun everyday and aren’t paid to do so. Can’t imagine letting fear run my life that much.
I cannot imagine how small, ineffective, and scared a person must have to feel in their day to day life to buy something like that.
If Honda were to bring out an Element EV, I think that’d sell like hotcakes. At least around here. In fact - it’s really an un-developed sector on the whole: EV Adventure vehicles. Not SUVs, per se. Not off-roaders. But something practical and roomy, with decent range and the ability to throw all manner of dirty…
First: I own a 2001 2.5 Z3 and think the cars are awesome - I bought a 1 owner car with 30K miles 2 years ago for a premium, but not this much.
If there ever was a good excuse for a slideshow we’d all click through...
The consequences need to be real and impactful and that might require creative thinking but something’s got to give with life as we know it; nobody gives a flying fuck.
