Hey Red-Hat dipshits! Know what would be a great way to keep costs for working folks down?

Let's make it happen.

In any other major automobile manufacturer Elon would have been immediately fired for all the customer alienation stuff he’s pulled.

The Trump Nazis are itching to unleash violence on us. Don’t give them the excuse they need.

Go fash, lose cash.

First Gear: Never forget that the asshole oligarchs can only exist because of the rest of us. We buy the shit they shovel, and there are plenty of other shit-purveyors to go around.

I’m up in Canada and I can say there is plenty of nervousness here about what’s to come for the US.  Unfortunately we are tied to the US in more ways than we care to admit and will ultimately suffer right along side you as Captain Creamsicle does his worst impression of a president.  This will be a long 4 years ahead

Same. Since November I’ve done everything I can to avoid watching the news as well as being more selective about what I read, simply for my own mental health.

Interesting that in no way did I mention death. But given that I mentioned them- meaning whoever trump appoints to do his bullshit- would come for your family first- then you I guess made the next logical conclusion: That trump is exactly what I suggested. Maybe you should think more.

Can I say how much I appreciate the take on these news stories - you’re not trying to be “objective” or “non-political” because no one can afford to be at this point. Keep calling out the bullshit, and don’t let the idiots off easy.

Glad you can absorb further increases in costs.  Not all of us can.  A decent amount of us non-supporters are going to be collateral damage.

The biggest problem with that is the people who wanted this are too stupid to know why things are more expensive. They’ll be blaming Biden/Dems for the next 4 years for anything that goes wrong while praising Trump for anything that goes well in their life. Any real correlation or causation will be completely ignored.

This is the first time I’ve woken up as an American and genuinely not felt safe. And to all the people who chose this? Fuck you and I hope they come for your family first.

1000% agree. The transition from the Audi 4000 to the B5 chassis, or the 993 to the 996, or E36 to E46 all right at the end of the 90s marks the turning point when cars got safer, MUCH more reliable and  modern enough to not be easily obsoleted -- my car was built in 2000 and, with a small, easy DIY modification,

Spoken like someone who doesn’t have to work on modern shitboxes.

The best selling vehicles in America , including spots, 1, 2, 3, 7, 10, 11, are these “gigantic” vehicles. I ran XC for years, in that sport, that would score 23 points and count as a massive beat-down.  Those top 3 add to the same as the next 6 combined.  So I’d say we have a gigantic vehicle problem.

yep, drive an M5 from 20 years ago and a new one. Or a basic 3 series from 20 years ago and now. Yes car improved in a lot of aspects but definitely not in driver engagement and how they make you feel behind the wheels. I think this was his main point.

“Modern cars are, for the most part, fantastic. Plus, you don’t have to worry about dying if you get into a minor car accident”

You do realize that as you get older you are also going to get fatter and uglier right? Human beings were not meant to appear young and attractive forever.

typical douchebag “boomer” comment. Clarkson is an ass for sure but he’s spot on. The bloat of the 911 over the years is but one example.
