Apparently it’s to prevent soot buildup on the shiny tips. DI engines create a lot of soot, and lots of vehicles that have them have chrome or silver tips - both real and fake - that are now permanently blackened.

And here we have the answer to the question of how the red states plan to deal with the kids from impoverished areas now that abortion is illegal...
It’s not a worker shortage, it’s a compensation shortage. Pay people enough and they will work for you.
surprising noone. red states have been lowering the working age to try and combat the worker shortage because children arent as likely to know theyre being exploited.
My sentiments exactly after reading some of these comments... Personally, I think this change in appearances is EXACTLY what the Type R needed.
“I hated the last gen CTR, it was too gaudy and over the top”
Well said. I feel like it takes it from looking great to trying too hard.
It’s subtle, maybe a little too subtle... or maybe it’s just cause the previous one was so over the top. The only thing I don’t like is that spoiler, which looks like something picked up from a chain auto parts store and stuck in an awkward location on the back. Otherwise, I like it.
As prices settle to pre pandemic levels, I will not be forgetting the shops that were the most exploitive and mercenary. I hope everyone else does the same.
“But when can we get normal levels of power.”
Counterpoint - this looks cool as hell.
At least another sedan, finally. All the CUVs and SUVs are a hard pass for being interested in an EV.
Buyers: stop being boring and clogging America’s roads with generic crossovers, buy something interesting.
It’s not that weird! It looks very Porsche or even Audi like.
Not bad. Give me a poor spec with cloth interior and none of them gimmicky tech for 30k and it can slide into my car hole any time.
I know there are wonky angles with the swoop back but, dang - I like it.
Counterpoint: daring design = good
This is because Rivian are car people and Tesla is tech people.
A 74,000 mi. early 2000s Ford Taurus is still an early 2000s Ford Taurus. There’s no way a reasonable person pays that much for this little. No Dice buddy.
