If he cannot read, we must secede!

Grant says Lee doesn’t remember signing such a document

Honestly, I think if he was cast in a more light-hearted Superman movie where he was, ya know, actually allowed to smile, we’d all be comparing him favorably to Christopher Reeve.

To be fair, I don’t think it was Cavill himself to blame. I think he could make a great Supes. The writers, producer, and directors are the ones to blame.

And here I am with no super powers like some kind of schmuck

Before Infinity War, the two GotG films, and Ragnarok, I would have been skeptical of MCU versions of the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe, especially cool-but-trippy Kirby creations, a la the Eternals. However, after seeing how handily they’ve brought other cosmic and godlike beings to the big screen (the

I hope they pick up The Expanse.

And yet The Expanse won’t be one of them. Dammit, Netflix!

Goyer’s script, however, is animated by Nolan’s ideas and it’s clear that his trilogy is more about politics than crime. All the major villain’s in Nolan’s Batman movies are terrorists, not criminals, out to destabilize Gotham and literally destroy it. That context gives clarity to The Joker’s seemingly random mayhem.

FWIW, Goyer only worked on the story, the Nolan Bros. did the actual screenplay (think Lucas’s involvement in Empire/Jedi, where the story was his but the script was handed to more capable hands).

Appropriately, it is a mini-trophy.

Just hang out for a while, your Dick Award is on it’s way.

“Not providing a back story for your villain (and constantly creating baited detours for what it may be) makes the villain more mysterious and threatening.” That was what I always thought was the best part about The Joker as a character. He doesn’t need a backstory. He’s inexplicable, a creature who can’t be

Yeah.

I‘m sure this is kind of reasonable discussion is what Mr Oswalt had in mind.

That’s some high quality fanwank. Oswalt is consistently one of the best in that sphere. There should be an award for that, he’d be a contender every year.

Saving Private Joker

Anyway, here’s a Reddit post from five years ago that said the same thing:
