Yeah, any time you see gamers, or anyone really, complaining about “snobby critics” or disparity of reviews between critic/user scores, or award nominations by publications etc etc, always remember THIS is what happens when they’re given a crumb of authority. The fact that Steam reviews that are literally just “Make sh…
Yeah its never just ONE thing, it’s always a combination of factors. Giving the benefit of the doubt—a mistake I always regret—I think the original poster is probably just not familiar with how often nazis and white supremacists like to use code and co-opt signs and such.
If they’re going to just have prompts hack out a game for us, publications should just have prompts hack out a review for it. Imh opinion.
It’S jUsT a tOOl bRo!!
That’s what shows how these companies view this. If they’ll use AI for this, rather than hire an actual artist who wouldn’t let this shoddy crap slip by, just think of the garbage they’ll generate for bigger projects.
You know, considering Snake had like...nine spoken lines throughout the entirety of MGS V, you’d think someone with some cash would just pay David Hayter through Cameo to have him speak them and bundle it into a Mod Pack for the game by now.
Isn't that just Ready Player One?
For me it’s Tekken 8 and Granblue Relink, since I’ve been waiting for GB since the first screenshots/announcement like 10 years ago.
There’s lots of other games I’m excited for, but none of them really have a solid release date other than “Generic 2024 Placeholder“ and even then you know some delays are inevitable. So…
Sticking around for the consequences of their actions has never been an option for billionaires. The plan has *always* been to fuck off to some bunker paradise as the rest of the world falls apart and we all die. They’re literally the villans in Horizon Forbidden West.
Conversely, there are plenty of outlets out there to watch gameplay. I’m not saying Twitch should or should not allow Tig ‘Ol Biddies, I’m just saying that particular argument goes both ways.
GDC is mostly for developers trading cool things they did, and yeah there’s some professional networking that happens there, but E3 always had major industry happenings there that weren’t on show floors or presentations, etc. I never went, but I’m pulling this knowledge from game journalists and others who’ve gone all…
E3 was only irrelevant as a platform to host trailers/advertisements that could be uploaded to Youtube. It was still very relevant as a way for industry professionals to meet, collaborate, make deals, network etc etc.
I’m a broken record on this topic but the thing people need to realize is that E3 wasn’t *primarily* a platform to spoonfeed advertisements and trailers, it was a trade show. Industry professionals were there, deals were made, networking was done, meetings were held. E3 was very important for the industry. Sure, The…
Reminds me of how Auron from FFX is supposed to only be 35, lol
Cid 2023: Cigarette smoking dialed down. Emotional/verbal abuse of his female assistant dialed up!
This was the big “wtf, seriously?” moment of the night, imh opinion.
I’m going to be incredibly sad—but unsurprised—when the inevitable crunch article arrives and we read about people missing their children’s funerals because they’re pulling 110 hours a week programming on an Instagram filter for an in-game phone, or animating a real-time fully detailed molting cycle for the alligators.…
You don’t want to skibidi gyatt for the rizzler in your crime game?
