And artifacts? Remember, like Diablo we’re going for *PERFECT*. How much money to refresh my resin thousands ans thousands of times to get more RNG on Artifacts (similar to Diablo Gems).
“Pay to win” depends on what it is you’re winning. Commenters seem to not understand the authors have been “winning” in the game this entire time without having to pay. I know plenty of people making their way through the game winning and winning.
If you’re talking about being absolutely BiS, Min/Max perfect stats, all top quality gems etc etc then like...welcome to Mobile Games? You know how much money at costs to have a C6 character with a max R5 weapon and refreshed resin enough times to get *perfect* artifacts in Genshin? I'd have to sell my house.
Being in the games industry for as long as he has, can you blame him? Sometimes, shit just sucks. How many times can a man be expected to go “Wow! Another open world checklist rpg loaded with green-blue-gold loot and 500 boring activities shotguned onto a map too needlessly large. Amazing. 10/10"
I do not blame…
Okay but...was the guy right, though?
This isn’t that bad considering Diablo 3 at launch was selling yellow rarity items for over two hundred dollars.
99 cents for a beginner pack seems pretty tame by comparison.
Two things:
1) “our game violates multiple national gambling laws, so if you want to play our games you should go change your laws” rather than saying “we should stop pushing gambling onto children” is a top tier corporate/capitalist take.
2) a part of me is still a little happy that no matter what this game will be ra…
Musk not giving people credit for anything he shows off is exactly the reason why his army of Weird Nerds think that he singlehandedly invented Rockets, Space Travel, Electric Cars, and the entire concept of Engineering.
Japan likes to reinvent the wheel when multiplayer is concerned. It can never be simple ‘drop-in-and-out’ it’s got to be like, “okay, you take your friend code, right? Take your Friend Code and drop it into a Signal Flare item once the level begins...then, okay with me still? Then I take this Golden Finger, right, and…
When can we start grouping these people into the Half-Life 3 camp and make fun of them? We have to be past the time limit for that by now, right?
It occupied a couple of my discord servers the day at spread, and youtube already has plenty of videos on the subject (I’d suspect major youtubers to cover it this week) so this isn’t exactly pulled from the ether.
I mean, if the pee pee poo poo Venom movie can get a sequel, the equally pee poo Morbius absolutely will. As someone else pointed out it had a return that was higher than the cost to make it. Generally speaking as long as you make money like that you’ll stick around.
“ He also says that since turning the anti-pirate measures on that sales of Cricket 22 “are up 300%”, thanking those who have “converted” to a legitimate copy,”
So, people pirating copies *ARE* lost sales then, as they could have bought it all along, and did when piracy was no longer a viable option. Interesting.
Today, I learned purchasing items in bulk/on discount was Scamming.
Yep. If the corporate suits were going to fix the problem then they would have by now. Which means they were NEVER going to fix it. The only recourse left was worker-led action and unionization.
You would think this would be a great time for Gamepass. I dont have anything coming until Forspoken (maybe and indie title here or there), and that’s out in October. This is PERFECT Backlog season, or experimentation on a service like Gamepass. I gave four different games a good hour+ this weekend that I would have…
Spoiler Culture is the worst fucking thing on the planet, and I hope everyone who acts like OP finds sand in their lunch for a whole year.
It’s less about “this story MUST have themes” and more “dear god please people, we’re begging you, develop the vocabulary and skills to allow yourself to engage with the media you love on a deeper level.”
I think *everyone* should take at least some intro level critical reading/film course once in their life. And on…
