This is an interesting thing I’ve encountered. I’ve seen many people I respect who have helped me in my political journey leftward (streamers, youtubers and even some ex-Kotaku writers) take what I feel is a hard switch on the issue of “letting ignorant proto-fascists kill themseleves”

America as a country has kind of just thrown our hands up in the air and said “fuck it, get back to work, if you get covid please die on shift so you can be quickly replaced” so it makes sense businesses would follow suit.  Gotta keep that economy goin' or something...

The biggest loss is not the game announcements. People can watch all the targetted advertisements they crave off publisher currated streams all they want.

This was my first Souls Game and I definitely enjoyed my time with it. I was entering the Capital when 1.03 hit and held off on the patch until I conquered my first playthrough (because fuck you, that’s why) I’m currently going through NG+ and catching up on podcasts while mindlessly living on the Farming Hill sending

Alright, which NPC explains what a Tarnished is and when? I’m on NG+ so I’ll go there and check it out.

After 160 hours and beating the final boss, I should not have to turn to my computer and google “What is a Tarnished?” so...yes? I do expect the absolute bare minimum information of a story to be conveyed clearly within said story.  This is not a difficult or radical ask, here.

It's a D1 thing.  You'd find a dead ghost or do/kill something and a message would pop up saying you unlocked a Grimiore Card.  That's your notice to then go online to a website and read like...*really key/important* story and lore that should have just been presented within the game itself in a straightforward

I was showing a friend the game when I was in Stormveil and explaining the rune thing on one of my many runes back and he pointed out the math was wrong on what I lost vs what I picked back up. We paid attention to it and sure enough I’d die with like 1500 and pick back up around 1200 or so. I thought my game was

Is streaming even viable?  I heard the input lag made things like Legend of Dragoon literally unplayable. Not sure I want to play that much money for streaming something that laggy...

Obligatory “If you do not buy these you will have absolutely no idea what the plot is or who half the characters of Kingdom Hearts 4 are” joke.

A strange game.  The only winning move is to not Hot Take.

Gamers: Souls Games are perfect, immaculate art. Immutable in their original design and intent. An expression of artistic creativity so pure and unique that I will react as though my family dog is being murdered in front of me every time a games journalist suggests even the slightest possibility that anything about

I’m not sure “Only people pre-dispositioned to like a thing should review a thing” is the policy homerun you think it is.

I’ve been catching up on Podcasts and farming that hill with the Golden Wave sword ability from endgame. Am currently lvl 370 but plenty more to go!

If the devs came out tomorrow and said, “sorry, those gross giant blood crows in the Mogh Mausoleum area were actually dungeon bosses that accidentally spawned in the open world,” I would 100% believe them.

That’s the exact farming method I’ve been doing, but there’s a clear problem of that farming method isnt taking place when I’m asleep or at work. This is a problem that must be rectified.

Same reason Ubisoft fixed an exploit in Assassins Creed Origins that let the player get infinite silver which could then buy infinite loot chests for the online store

I ran a similar script like this for Tales of Arise to farm the arena, getting ability levels and kills recorded to increase the Devil weapon potency.

Some people took the lack of a shopping cart a bit too personally, methinks
