I’m going to become The Joker if I hear one more person saythe existence of a treasure chest is a spoiler”

Y’all have a lot more patience than I do because I’d have pitched an article titled “Elden Ring Has Things You Can Equip Including Weapons, Armor” just for shits and giggles at this point.

Looks like it’s a rather good thing Elden Ring will be sitting on my shelf until I finish Horizon FW and Dying Light 2.  Maybe they’ll have a patch out in late March/early April for when I can get around to it.

That’s not to say what Russia is doing is a GOOD thing, but the point has merit. Imagine when the Warsaw pact were still a thing, if Canada/Mexico announced their intention to join it—and thus allow Soviet missiles to get parked on the borders—America wouldn’t shrug and go “well, it doesn’t sound good but I suppose

It’s not.

However, don’t tell him that you can control a character who is able to wear equipment though, that might also spoil the game.

What are we thinking next, Moscow? Saudi Arabia? Beijing? A rust belt Red State?

In a sane world, this would just be seen as a cute easter egg from a creator, but in today’s world I’m sure this will fuel some “TheY’rE AlL ActUaLY iN tHe Same WoRLd/TiMeLInE!” red string theories.

I also felt vtubers weren’t really covered much here, especially given the overlap of Anime, games, streaming, etc they represent. BUT! other than their popularity, there isn’t much really *newsworthy* happening in the Vtuber communities, and I’m not sure I’d want to see Hololive drama get dragged onto the front page

I’m so excited for Elden Ring. I haven’t kept myself intentionally hyped for years over an unreleased game like this since No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk!

Yeah like someone else said, no one’s really *shocked* it’s just like...eyerolly at this point. Like... “Oh. Lingerie Mage. Really uh...really reachin’ deep into the design bucket there, huh?”

with the nearly 10-year-old system asking them to delete the application, insert the disc again, and reinstall the game.”

This kind of troubleshooting bullshit is the reason I avoid PC gaming. The fact that console players are being asked to do this? I’d throw the game in the trash at this point it’s not worth it.

I came to find or make this comment.  Well done!  Have a star!

“Do you get that you’ve instead moved that need to trailers instead? “We don’t need aggregate sites to decide things on our own. Instead we need what are essentially carefully selected advertisements designed by marketing to manipulate us as much as possible.”

You need more than a name and a studio to go off of. Unless

The point isn’t about aggregate sites being untrustworthy (though we’ve clearly seen people gaming review systems for as long as we’ve been in this space) the point is that no one needs a consensus to be gathered on a piece of media before one could make the conclusion that they do or do not want to see/play

Of course there’s no way to ‘consume’ everything, so this entire premise has already built in some level of understanding that we will miss things regardless.

Let’s not make this more complicated than it is. Seen a trailer? Did it interest you? Y/N. Move on. You asked about Ice Road. Took me 2:27 to watch a trailer and

Big “Come Play, M’lord” vibes off a lot of the characters I saw.

For me, I just enjoy reading what reviewers think of a piece of media. The things they take away from it, how the work speaks to them, or doesn’t. What they felt was interesting and what they felt wasn’t.

99 times out of 100 I can look at a trailer and tell you if I’m interested in it or not.  If I think I’m going to

Okay, but who gives a shit though? Who cares about the “General Consensus”? YOUR individual enjoyment of a thing like a movie or game is the only ‘consensus’ that you should concern yourself with. Some of my favorite movies have been declared by ‘The General Consensus’ to be flops. Similarly, I’ve given a resounding

There is a difference between world building and “Wiki-ification” of stories which has been a growing trend lately. Everything—and I do mean EVERYTHING—must be explained eventually. Every character must be connected somehow. There can be zero room for mystery or simply a character to organically exist. Let me try and

“ makes it hard to side with the fans as some suggest a giant conspiracy involving critics and EA to trick gamers into buying an unfished game.”

What’s it feel like to be part of a globe-spanning cabal capable of manipulating people’s minds to the point of eradicating their own free thought and independent decision
