My only experience Souls-likes was Code Vein and it was alright. I'm hoping Elden Ring doesn't have cheap bullshit and isn't too rough since I committed to giving this a go.

The Difficulty Discourse—if properly harnessed—could harvest enough Gamer Rage energy to power most major cities for decades. Seriously, strap A Gamer into a chair, hook them up, and show them a video of someone having fun adjusting a slider for a boss fight in a Souls game, and watch every light in New York surge…
What, is this the Pokémon community all of a sudden? “Every new Pokemon game must include every Pokémon that has ever existed including all the new ones. They must all be given brand new models—we WILL count the polys in the mesh—and zero attacks and animations are allowed to be re-used, they must all be brand new.…
Got*DAMN*
There are some gacha games that feel generous and then there are some that make me wonder if I’m playing a completely different game than everyone else with regards to now often free players pull compared to me.
I’m one of those “that’s nice, dear” people when it comes to framerates but it’s situational. Obviously something like frame specific fighting games want as many as you can get, and i understand that on a technical level, but honestly I can take it or leave it.
Always a joy to watch a conpany pick what decisions should be democratized and what decisions the labor has absolutely no say in. And yet both options are always whatever is in the best interest of the C-suite.

The amount of people stuck in a Brand Loyalty/schoolyard Console War mentality is depressing.
What is at about getting into a Zoom/Teams meeting that makes men whip their dick out?
Just as a general rule, there is nothing “pro consumer” about the gaming landscape taking another massive step towards monopoly.
It’s “despite” because in order for CEOs to extract billions, they need to force their workers (the ones who create the wealth) onto the hampster wheels *despite* the massive global plague that’s slaughtering millions.
They'll make even more money in 2022 because the current Administration's guidlines say we can and SHOULD remain at works right up to the moment we need to be intubated.
I’m actually confused what the problem with the article is? Seems to explain the shield/streaming/lawsuit/etc pretty plainly. If your problem is that its doesn’t go into this stuff;
