I'm the opposite. Most MMOs can't keep me around past a few weeks, yet I find myself devoting my limited gaming time to Destiny four months later.

Agreed on the loot system, and I'm in the same boat. I only had Bad Juju before (meh, although good post-patch) but last week I ran into Hardlight, Vex Mythoclast, Starfire Protocal and Universal Remote! Once you get a taste of that sweet, sweet loot, you end up chasing the dragon for more.

Boungie isn't floundering when they have, literally, millions of people playing their game every goddamn day.

Agree with what you wrote. Never got the outrage over the items being rendered useless. It was only 3 months in, which I understand is short, but it's also exactly what I expected.

I'm amazed I'm still playing it myself, but I think the reason I've lasted longer playing it than, say, WoW, is because the gameplay is solid. I'm playing a fun shooter as opposed to clicking buttons in the right rotation on my hotbar.

I laughed out loud because I have been beating that drum for a while now. I've never seen anyone get lap band surgery as a prominent public figure and then only lose a middling amount of weight. Blows my mind every time I think about it.
