Both the XB1 and PS4 were supposedly very easy to develop for because they used off the shelf components, rather than the proprietary stuff that console manufacturers used to use.

I wonder if this will end up like MS’s BC on the XB1 where the hardware was powerful enough to run old games but they had to wait on licensing from the rights owners to “certify” games.

It wasn’t even a question of compatibility for the XB1, it was MS having to get proper licensing rights to make their games BC. I think at one point they flat out said the hardware was powerful enough to emulate old games.

I honestly wasn’t expecting another new hero to be released until OW2 came out.

At launch only Seagate will have an expandable SSD available for purchase, but from what MS has said it sounds like they’re open to more 3rd parties making them down the line.
