The THR article actually insinuated that this time around, WB wants to get rid of Affleck. Which seems crazy to me, but I don't know the ins and outs of his personal life.

The memes this has already given us are worth all the CGI costs in the world.

Well, when you were about to be vaporized by the guy, you would probably be happy his neck got snapped, yeah.

That's the opposite of playing catchup and what many people have said they should do (structure it more like the Marvel universe).

Hmm, wasn't the complaint that they "wasted" (famous gimmick) villain Doomsday in BvS? If they had Darkseid in this people would say they had wasted him and rushed the universe. Having Steppenwolf in this and then Darkseid in a later one is what the masses are clamoring for.

Just his grapple gun.

That suit is awesome looking.

Superman died. Alfred is talking to Deathstroke/Green Lantern/Jason Todd/whatever crazy fan theory we can come up with to pretend it isnt Superman.

I feel this is coming from someone who has not seen films like Steel, Elektra, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Green Lantern, Catwoman, Jonah Hex, etc.

I actually love BvS (and MoS and WW) and feel like I will love Justice League, but I would also say to people that if they think they will hate this movie, it would be better if they didn't go, because otherwise those who do like it will have to spend the next several years hearing them complain about it VERY loudly

The sets for Doctor Strange also look quite good because they are old mansions and ancient temples and the like, so when you put CGI next to that it doesn't clash as much as it does with the simple interiors you see in all the other films.

I would say one issue with the CG in Marvel films is it is thrown around some of the plainest, simplest sets ever created for film, stuff like the inside of the helicarrier or the Triskelion or Avengers HQ or the UN building in Civil War, they're all just very plain looking. The sets made for this movie seem to have

"Like I'm willing to bet if I go re-watch The Avengers that 5-year-old CGI will put this to shame."

"Glutton Man" seems more what they would mistake Bubble Boy for, hohoho.

No, you aren't reading too much into that, he even says "Let's HOPE you're not too late…"

He made the suit from stuff he "borrowed" from NASA, though.

It's been stated to be surplus NASA heat shielding that he has manufactured into a suit, so it was the heat generated by friction with the atmosphere he was worried about, not aerodynamics.

He didn't write the screenplay, he helped develop the general story.

Exactly, we see a bunch of shots that merely expand on scenes from past trailers.

Nothing they have said is trying to fool people into that, it is the media who keeps rumormongering that Whedon reshot the entire film. Whedon has been clear he shot and directed new scenes that serve as "connective tissue" for the majority of the film which already finished its principal photography before he stepped
