I interpreted it as pointing out that time travel in movies is always problematic and any attempt to put a logical or scientific spin on it is foolish, so just sit back and enjoy the damn movie.

You somehow managed to find the only non-skunky bottle of Dos Equis green!
A place in San Francisco did this in ‘99:
Hasn’t read this before watching, so I guess it’s good to know that Schur wanted to evoke Cheers, because my initial sense was it was a blatant Cheers rip. After the first 30 seconds, my wife suggested that maybe they were doing a Cheers tribute with the “filmed before a live audience”, laugh track, and obvious charact…
I’ve always referred to it as the “Jesus snuff film”.
Red Horn Brewery in Cedar Park (an Austin suburb) made a Lucky Charms stout last year, but didn’t bother with a PR firm to publicize it. Did not have it myself, too over the top, but got good reviews:
Sometimes I think about how long it took me to try avocado/guacamole, which was well into my ‘20s despite having lived in Texas for several years by that point.
Onion is another. I was the kid who would insist on a new hamburger (not just removing them/scraping them off)if there had been onions on it.
Plenty of time for both the Alamo and tacos, just don’t eat anywhere around the Riverwalk downtown.
I didn’t think it could get lamer than the name of the club, then I saw the logo and color scheme. I didn’t think it could get worse than that, then I see this song sheet.
I used to drink a lot of Shiner Cheer, and then one day I was just overwhelmed by the cloying sweetness, and a realization that it tasted like peach jello. I can’t drink more than one a year now.
This is probably beer sacrilege but I’ve found that using a wine saver on an imperial stout bomber can do the trick for a couple of days.
I can still find plenty of last year’s BCBS on shelves in Austin. The basic run isn’t all that limited, just the rare variants.
Collective Brewing Project “Cup O’Beer”. I found it surprisingly good and drinkable, have shared it a few times with people who had similar reaction.
Titus Andronicus was my immediate thought as well. I feel bad for Patrick because he’s quite aware of this, but admire that he keeps on going with what he wants.
and Sean...wow. Would not have expected that answer...
There were a lot of really good Mos Eisley short stories in the From a Certain Point of View anthology, but hard to see them piece that together as a movie, would work better as a limited series showing the same events from 8-10 different perspectives with side stories.
Once you get to the non-dippable sizes of tortilla chips, you use them for migas: https://www.seriouseats.com/2014/09/how-to-make-tex-mex-migas-scrambled-eggs-tortilla-breakfast.html
Surveyors like straight lines, and most land grants were based on survey results. Later on, things were done in square-mile sections, which are 640 acres. Most boundaries/borders are straight lines and large bodies of water.
Yep, Pierre Celis created Hoegaarden wit, brought the recipe (and yeast) to the US to create Celis White. The revived Celis (under his daughter and granddaughter) uses the same recipe and yeast.
I’ve heard that Allagash White is inspired by Hoegaarden, so Celis White would/should be quite similar to Allagash. I haven’t…
Was not aware that “Don’t Turn Around” was a Tina Turner b-side, my experience with it was as a reggae song by Aswad.
Funny, I think I might have liked it if there had been another hour cut out.
