Ah. I don’t check things every day and I’d forgotten that from the link I posted, so I skimmed this article without reading mine. Sorry. I agree, it’s baffling.”Fool me once... “ etc.
I’m confused as to where you got that idea. The article only mentions the phone being stolen.
You should also stop thieves from being able to change your passcode if your phone is stolen. Just a reminder, though, you should know how to reverse it if you have to access your account while it’s set up, as that will be grayed out. (I panicked until I remembered.)
I opened Twitter in Chrome on my Windows PC to do this and the blue bird was back. Maybe enough people made fun of Elongated Muskox over it (or maybe a lawsuit was threatened by the owner of the image, if there is one?) that it was reversed.
Many grocery stores have their own app, and if you do a search in it with your particular store as your location, it will tell you where items are. If you’d prefer not to have an app, go to that store’s website for (usually) the same information. I shop at Fred Meyer in Oregon, and their app is very useful in that…
The original title (and current page title) of this article was “How to Fix (and Prevent) Candle Tunnels” but as I mentioned in another post, it’s clickbait, and not necessarily the fault of the author (see photo below from comments on an article titled “You’re Frying Your Chicken in the Wrong Oil” but which has a…
Great idea! I know that in winter, a popular screensaver is a crackling fire, that would be weird for us since we have a fireplace immediately next to the TV. But an aquarium would be ideal.
While we currently have a living room with no TV *and* a family room with the TV as the prime focus, it wasn’t always that way, and when we had people over and wanted a conversation, we just left the TV off. No guest I’ve EVER had over, whether individually or in a party setting, turned on the TV without permission,…
If you’re concerned about something actually attached to your device, take a piece of paper as wide as the camera and a few inches long. Fold the end of the paper over twice, so that the first fold covers the camera and the second fold is wide enough to lay on the top edge of the device. Now you have a “hook” to cover…
Chalk has never worked for me in repelling ants. Peppermint oil works better. If you want to kill them, Combat ant gel is the best, preferably in a trap they can take bits from back to the colony.
It’s clickbait. People see the headline and want to know why the author thinks they’re doing something wrong. It’s enticing because it starts up a reaction in the reader, who is prepared to defend themselves before they even know what they’re accused of. Considering that the HTML title for this article actually reads…
If you’re just freshening carpet, not removing stains, use Febreze fabric. The whole process is to trap smells that then evaporate. I don’t know the exact science but I know it works.
While I’d love the first place cash, I’d never enter the sweepstakes in case I won lots of the ice cream. I’ve tried it and you’d have to pay me cash to eat more.

You can block this feature by disabling Siri when the iPhone is locked, but it’s not worth the risk. Remember, this is also the option that allows strangers to contact people in your address book if you’re having a medical emergency.
I put my bottles, etc. in a gallon or quart sized ziplock baggie. It’s way easier to load and unload, and allows for acquiring additional bottles while traveling. Plus, a small piece of cling wrap is much easier to lose, so what do you do when it’s time to go home? And I carry a couple of extra baggies along, just in…
I’ve had access to my iPhone photos on my Windows laptop for years by using the iCloud website. Granted this will probably have more features, and be easier to download multiple photos at once to the PC, but access has been available for years.
There’s a reason some people block ThreadReader on their accounts: the app reposts content without the author’s permission and earns ad revenue from that stolen content. Some authors repost long threads on their own sites (or sites like Medium) instead.
