I strongly, strongly disagree. There is absolutely no reason that a Pacifist Luke couldn’t co-exist with a Pro-active Luke.

Shhh, let people feel superior to others for a bit.

There's a lot of 'whoosh' going on in this comment.

The extent to which perpetual growth, whether for private businesses or national economies, has been normalized as the only possible reality one can support is truly insane. In its own way, it's a religion, in that it demands absolute faith in its dogma, other considerations be damned.

Why provoke someone with such disregard for life and property in such a way? There’s a reason cops are generally taught not to engage in car chases or shoot their guns willy nilly because the chance of collateral damage is just too high.

That's really really not the case.

I feel sorry for that poor artist.

Normally I’d say that’s a fair criticism, but given how tough Chinese government can be about anything LGBTQ, I stand by what I said.

Yes, but they’re homophobic, so they must defend the honour of the straights.

That...would be something.

That’s basically my point...The title does exactly that and as I also noted, that’s a language issue that automatically orients cissexual realities, and not a sign that this show is transphobic.

I was directly responding to Harron’s own sardonic analysis there. Not categorically denying that trans people face significant issues in representation.

Didn't make that distinction or did? Because the former would just support what I'm saying...

Oh, I get it now yeah. I took advanced mathematics in high school, and it more or less broke my brain. First year college calculus was a relief afterwards.

I expect the usual naysayers to waltz in and accuse her of grandstanding and not actually passing any laws and so on and so forth, and looking down their noses at her supporters for 'not understanding the complexities of real-life politics and compromise' and some such bullshit.

I am not sure why anyone was expecting anything better from a Chinese company, where the PR person might even be fired or imprisoned if they really went ‘gay rights’, depending on who was watching whom on that particular day.

Genuinely asking: what did basic College Algebra include?

If you knew what those labels, especially the newer ones, meant, you’d hopefully revisit the basis of your opinion here.

Straight Lives Matter!

Great! What’s the next step? How to ensure tenants can pay a measure of rent even if they can’t work? How to ensure landlords don’t default on their mortgages, etc.?
