We’re back to justifying shit libs hated because Trump did it, but is now cool because Obama/Biden is doing it.
I mean, those aren’t mutually exclusive.
Yeah, I’m not too pressed about Neera Tanden. She has issues.
Body Snatch Manchin.
I would indict them for doing virtually nothing to combat that smear campaign, or change tactics to take into account Republican obstruction. But they don’t have an innate disability to govern; it’s the Repubs who obstruct with every fiber of their being.
Republicans are worse. Way worse.
Not going to continue the same conversation on two separate threads. Quick summation:
Didn’t WV reject attempts to transition to renewable energy?
Those damned Scots! They ruined Scotland!
That’s simply not true. Plenty of times Democrats have held the a solid majority, as in the House now, and have ‘reached out across in the aisle in the spirit of bipartisanship’. Etiquette. Decency. And other such flowery concepts. And even besides that, optics matters. There’s a difference between putting out ‘we…

That’s too bad. Personally I do not believe compromise has any value in and of itself. It’s meaningful in terms of what it can achieve and how. Once it becomes an impediment, and if you really think there is no point in trying to change it, then as per you that is an incitement to force - as we saw on January 6th.
I wrote a lot in anger, but what’s the point of that. Let me sum my perspective here and be done with it.
...How nice.
I feel compelled to point out this interaction between myself and warriorscot:
There absolutely is a difference. An ideology of enforced hierarchy is by nature not peaceful. You can choose not to act on that ideology, which makes you passive. But it does not make you peaceful. You may not regard that as a meaningful distinction, but it is.
