The only ego here is yours. You’re the one who’s offended. You’re the one who reads motives. Etc. Very good at accusing. Not so good at backing up your claims.

When I see something interesting, I comment on the merits. Not on the basis of clicks. I saw this, thought it was interesting and commented.

Great. I’m happy to let readers look at your bald faced assertion, with neither evidence nor argument, and weigh it against the substantial list of prominent gay actors I listed and make up their own minds.

You do realize that just repeating that over and over again is not an argument. Do you actually have an argument to refute all the counterexamples I gave, or are you just stamping the floor?

You have quite a low bar for “monsters.” I tend to save that term for serial killers, totalitarian dictators and the like, rather than for people whose politics or humor I dislike.

No, your point doesn’t “stand.” And just simply burping up the word ‘truth’ doesn’t make what you’ve said true.

Right, all those gay actors stuck in the film ghetto.

“But if you want a cliffnotes version: body modification comes as a sort of rebellion against societal norms for her, amongst other things.”

He’s absolutely right.

* “is confused...”

As often occurs, I think Jezebel his quite confused about how much the producers of mass culture care about their very niche concerns. The movie will likely be enormously successful, regardless of the fact that some tiny number of people squawk about “cultural appropriation” and the like.

Who’s justifying anything? I was simply reacting to the ridiculous characterization of a great and ancient civilization as “amazingly primitive.” Rome did terrible things too, but they were not “amazingly primitive.”

That “amazingly primitive culture” that produced Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Prokofiev, Tarkovsky, and the first man made satellite in space.

You are absolutely right, but don’t hold your breath waiting for this crowd to grasp it.

I guess I’m just dreaming it then. Eyeroll.

PC gamers beware. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has game-breaking bugs that have not been fixed by patch. I had to stop playing the game several hours in, because of a bug that causes your game to freeze whenever you try to use the subway to travel to a different zone.

I would love to play through the “greatest mission in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,” the trouble is that the game freezes every time I get onto a train.

The fact that you’re scared — “Scary stuff!” — kind of makes his point, doesn’t it?

Except that Ghostbusters was terribly written. Some of the worst film writing in recent memory. Haven’s seen Suicide Squad and may not, given the terrible reviews.

Obviously, Mass Effect and Fallout. STALKER too.
