Seems to me that with the exception, perhaps, of CD Projekt Red, quality, single-player roleplaying is going to be something for which we will have to look to indie developers and crowdfunding.  The days of big, AAA studios making these sorts of games looks to be over.  Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout ... it’s sad to

Most people didn’t like it? It sold incredibly well and made Bethesda a ton of money.

“If you didn’t know these expressions were racist in origin and have used them in the past, that’s okay. But now that you know, rethink your vernacular and find new ways to express these feelings. Better yet, take this as a reminder to always think about what you say in the future”

I *really* want to love this game, as it belongs to a genre that I adore. Loved Tyranny, loved Wasteland 2, loved Pillars ...

Just started Divinity Original Sin 2

That’s because the author is clearly entirely ignorant of the sport. One would think that a health sense of personal limits would be recommended here. Stick to criticizing things you actually know something about.

This flash-forward opening also labors hard to melodramatically inflate the importance of both the game and this individual rivalry;

I can’t agree with that. The tactical combat in which you could pause and give your teammates commands was at the heart of all the Mass Effect games, as well as the Dragon Age games. Its elimination in this game, turned ME into just another cookie-cutter sci-fi shooter.

I wonder what their sense of humor will be like after they get slapped with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of lawsuits for acting like a bunch of brownshirts towards a 70 year old man and lose? And they will lose. Big.

Could you explain to me why someone who pays more for a perk shouldn’t receive the perk over someone who didn’t pay for it.

It’s getting increasingly difficult to distinguish Jezebel from religious fundamentalists, when it comes to the subject of sexuality. Seems like a lot of others in the comments are also wondering what’s so scandalous. The pictures are no worse than the average selfie posted on every single social media platform.

Good point. The complete irrelevance of this sort of atavistic feminism to young people today is why it won’t go anywhere other than a few fist-pumps on Jezebel. Shulamith Firestone feminism is never coming back.

It’s OK. I have zero interest in Lorde as well. Not sure if that makes us a “we” though, in Bobby Finger land.

Apparently, the people who do count as “we” and the people who don’t do not.

I’m wondering how “Bobby Finger” — never heard of him — knows whom “we” care about seeing?

It’s not comedy’s job to be moral. It’s comedy’s job to be funny.

You mean, like you?

You’re reading motives is precisely the problem. Well, that and making claims for which there are obvious counterexamples. Legions of them in fact.
