I read it like shade too.

You sir/madame, are a poet.

I don’t want to say that confederate flags are common in New England, but they’re not unheard of. We just moved to southern Maine and there’s a house not far from us with a big confederate flag (and, of course, a bunch of Trump signs). And New Hampshire has a tone of them. I think they’re less common in MA, especially

I believe their motto is “Feelings for me but not for thee.” Not surprisingly, you can also insert justice, voting, respect, lives, and freedom in there as well.

The ‘fuck your feelings’ Trumpers sure are having a lot of feelings.

Strangely, I don’t hear much kvetching about parading the confe-DUH-rate rag around the capitol building being disrespectful to the American flag.

*checks watch*

I like to think that maybe this was something she was reminding him of (“hey dickhead, you have daughters, would you want some asshole making pervy comments about their legs at their job?”), but yeah he could absolutely have played that card into his apology.  I hope he learned his lesson.

People who think that Massachusetts can’t be racist because it’s politically blue have obviously never gone to a Red Sox game”

People who think that Massachusetts can’t be racist because it’s politically blue have obviously never gone to a Red Sox game. Spend three beer-soaked hours in Fenway park on any summer afternoon, and you’ll find out how real Massachusetts yokels behave. There’s a reason the term “Massholes” exists.

I lived in the Boston area for 10 years and wasn’t sure where Northampton was so I had to look it up. Fun fact about Northampton...they have a Beer Can Museum.

I have to wonder if this was some misguided attempt at trolling.

Not curious to me. We now have how many generations of white people that have been raised to romanticize the old south? Then there are the deep ties between slave patrols and law enforcement. We never stomped that shit out so of course it spread.

So, a Massachusetts school is the backdrop of this? Not Alabama? Not Kentucky? Well, arch-bigots in Mass are old news, but it’s curious that the confed-flag has all these stans nationwide, well beyond the borders of the old Confederate States of America.

You see how fucking pathetic they are? He didn’t even call them out of their name, he didn’t say they were hateful turds who have their heads up their asses and are rim-jobbing the dead from the losing side of the war. He went out of his way to spare their fee fees and they STILL are acting the fucking fool about it.

In Masasachusetts, a state that had a proud history of fighting against the confederacy..... this horse shit.

Why? I just, why?
He spent time writing that little speech, probably practiced it in front of the mirror, went and made it part of an official legislative session and never thought “maybe I should just not”

Who among us has not thought, If it’s good enough for 9 Chickweed Lane, it’s good enough for the House floor.”

Great vid, Justin. I look forward to more of this series. Now, hit the gym, LOL!

Fun anecdote, Peter Steele of Type O Negative, considered his job at DSNY his happiest.
