Sure, I acknowledge that different rates of thermal expansion and contraction with different materials is a real phenomenon. So I guess what Musk is saying is that BMW has succeeded in solving this problem, whereas Tesla has not succeeded, or has chosen not to attempt to solve it.

Yes, we should get rid of the Senate. If we must retain a bicameral legislature, we should just establish new districts so that one person = 1 vote in elections for the hundred senators. The Senate is one of the most undemocratic aspects of our constitution (right up there with the electoral college).
