While I definitely agree, "33" being my favorite episode of the series, I'd still say it came pretty damned close for much of the first two seasons and the front half of the third. It's just little choices during those seasons that hold them back from the same level of excellence. Like taking the easy way out with…
Cowards die so many times before their deaths, the valiant never taste of death but once.
The one who wore clothes.
"33" could be the only good episode they ever made, and it would still blow the doors off the original series and no amount of bad episodes to follow could possibly undercut it.
Correct. It was before the miniseries even aired, so his fragile little ego had yet to be bruised by becoming the less well known of the two.
A street near where I live has two 7-11s literally right next to each other. They're on a corner, one faces one street, the other faces the cross-street, but there is nothing at all between them. They're two separate stores, two separate buildings, the same franchise. It's really really weird.
That picture was from the original promotional run for the miniseries. There's a video bit in the DVD/Blu-Ray special features which has the two of them getting together and being all chummy, and the picture is taken from that.
