I wear a suit every time I fly because every time I haven’t I get pulled aside for “random enhanced security screenings.” Every damn time. But if I wear a suit it’s like magic, I just sail through security.

I’m with you on a bunch of this, but as for 2) - when their Mom calls Bryce Dallas Howard you can see them in front of two sets of lawyers clearly in the midst of negotiating something with the dad their as well, also the sudden crying, which I assume is further hinting at the divorce.

I think one of the books claimed that after they made it so you can't go past Warp 5, the Federation just changed the scale again. That doesn't really explain the utter nonsense of that Voyager episode though.
