After WeePiglet punched two pretty good-sized holes in the walls "to fix it like Daddy" we put the tools away on the very high shelf. Half "yay" half "oops!"

This is a great perspective on the subject and addressed (I think) in the best possible way. I've always like to answer white people's questions because sometimes, people are not being rude or intrusive. They are just curious and you are a small window inside. If people are more educated about natural hair, then there…
That'd be a dealbreaker for me. I mean, I wouldn't go into graphic detail, but someone who would act like a child after hearing that I have cramps or need an advil because it's that time of the month would no longer be my friend.
I just don't get the gross-out effect that periods STILL seem to have on people. Get over it grown ass man. It happens once a month every month for most of the women on this planet. Seriously. If you grew up with real punk rock, this would not be an issue.
I would be totally fine with a mixed-gender restroom if it only had stalls, no urinals.
Fathers and mothers deserve quality attachment time with their new babies. How do people not realize that if you don't give men the same opportunities/have the same expectations to be good caregivers then men probably will not become good caregivers!?
I love this. I would like to see more men sharing their experiences around paternity leave and how the experience effected them, positive or negative. I think there has been a lot said about the benefits, but just like most all things, from the source is dramatically more effective.
Man, I would not want to be a thin woman who reads about how I'm not a real human on a constant basis. Must suck.
You can't just pretend, you have to pray! And if you were praying, you must have been praying to the wrong God. You should probably keep trying different ones until one works for you.
If the flag is a poke in the eye, it probably means they're flying it too low. Instead of banning it, they just need to fly it higher.
There is a very weird kind of veteran in this country - it's the one who feels that because he served in the military (didn't necessarily do anything of actual distinction, was just there), he is basically an Authority on all things American and he now has a special status to dictate to others what is American(tm) and…
"a poke in the eye of a way of life"?
"I did not go overseas and fight for our country so that we could come back and be subject to something like that."
Early feminist gets the glory!
One time, in elementary school, I decided I didn't like canned corn.
So the next time they served it at lunch I just closed my eyes and pretended it wasn't there.
But guess what!?!? When I opened my eyes, it was still there. Really. It was almost as if it was a real thing I couldn't wish away . . . .
"I did not go overseas and fight for our country so that we could come back and be subject to something like that. Several of us (veterans) feel that the flying of this flag is a poke in the eye of a way of life."
People should be ashamed that people like this have been in our military.

But I'll bet he's A-OK with the Confederate flag.
"Portlandia, which might as well be Brooklyn."
